What are After Hours Events?  After hours is an opportunity for local Chamber Members

to come together and Network, form relationships, recognize one another and possibly create business opportunities. This also gives our members a chance to show off their business in a relaxed setting. We do these to welcome other Chamber Members to your business that may

not typically stop in to see what all you do or have going on with your business. Some places

add them on after an open house, some just specifically hold an After Hour Event with public

- Other Special Events

 

China Luncheon-  The China Luncheon is an event held every year where ladies of our town

and the surrounding communities come together to host a wonderful afternoon of fun, food

and entertainment. The hostess will use their own dishes, decorations, table services and ideas

to decorate a table in the banquets theme for that year. Each hostesses also donates a small

gift to each person that sits at their table. Entertainment comes in the form of a style show.

Many of our local business participate in this and show off the upcoming styles and where

you find them. A silent auction is held at the China Luncheon with items donated by businesses

and individuals from the community.  The money that is raised from this goes to a special community project.

 

Professional Development – Numerous educational opportunities are designed with your business in mind. Be informed of the latest “hot topics”, current market trends and cutting-edge technology.

 

Membership Window Sticker – Viewed by many as a source of pride and integrity. Display these prominently in your place of business to ensure that your visitors recognize you as a Geneva Chamber of Commerce member.

 

Marketing – Receive free listings and links to your website and social media sites on the Geneva Chamber of Commerce website and Facebook page. Business name will be featured on the
Chamber ad featured on Rialto II’s big screen before every movie. Your business will be listed

of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony. These events usually celebrate an opening, expansion,

or major year anniversary.

Facade Improvement Grant Program

Heartland Bank received funds from a regional bank program that had been intended to support loans for facade improvements and downtown revitalization projects. Although that program has since ended, some funds remain and Heartland Bank would like to see them utilized. The Geneva Chamber of Commerce will administer a grant program that will match funds – up to $5,000 – spent on facade improvement projects in downtown Geneva. The goal of the program is to support downtown improvement projects with an emphasis on spending the money with local contractors and suppliers. Interested parties can complete the attached application form and submit it to

the Geneva Chamber of Commerce for review and approval. Approved projects will be eligible

for up to $5,000 of matching funds for projects, which would be paid to the contractor/supplier upon completion of the project. Matching funds are limited, so please complete applications quickly

while funding is available.

 

Eligible businesses will be those that are located in what the City of Geneva defines as Central Business District C-1. Consult the City zoning maps to determine if your business is eligible.

Eligible projects will include, but are not limited to, painting, sign improvement/replacement,

window replacement, awning installation, or services necessary to support those projects,

like electrical connections, etc.
